Tour of Caterpillar in Morton, IL

Friday October 27, 2023 11:30am
Arrive to eat at 11:30am, lunch will be provided by the chapter to all attendees. We will have sub or gondola type sandwiches, chips, soda and water.
The tour will start at 12:00pm

The safety team at Caterpillar in Morton, IL is welcoming us into one of the largest parts distribution facilities in the world! Opened in 1956, the Morton facility has over 3-million square feet of warehouse and yard space, distributing CAT parts to customers and dealers around the world!
IMPORTANT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
CAT MORTON FACILITY
General Safety Requirements
• Visitors must be at least 12 years old
• Full leg covering is recommended
• Sturdy-soled leather shoes that provide complete foot covering and have
less than a 1” heel are required
• No sandals, open-toed, or open-heeled shoes are permitted
▪ *If the tour is scheduled to go off the normal tour path, steel toed safety shoes with metatarsal protection will be
required. This will be worked out ahead of the tour with the
host and the visitor’s center to help provide the needed
safety equipment
• No photos can be taken during the tour of the Morton facility
• Finger rings are allowed on the Morton facility tour. If the tour is
scheduled to go off the normal tour path, rings must be removed
• Please Note: Caterpillar has the right to refuse anyone who is under the
influence of alcohol or drugs
